These strips were a follow-on to CPU Wars when I was approached by Creative Computing to do a strip in 1980. In those days, I thought I was cool to be able to crank out pen & ink drawings faster than the ones I did for CPU Wars, and a bit more professional. However, it still took forever to do them. It took me about 4 years to do 40 of them. Compared to now, when I can get about 40 a year done... But I also was in a Silicon Valley startup that took most of my time, trying to create computer graphics systems that could draw well enough to make the frustrations of india ink, white out, typesettting, lettering, photostats, and all the rest go away. Well, it finally happened in 1995, about ten years later!
